19.10.18 homework letter
26.10.18 homework letter
Our Nursery allocated time in the library is on a Thursday. Please share the book with your child and write a comment in their reading diary. Your comment could highlight how engaged your child was in the story, if they can talk about what was happening on each page, or if they can tell you about the story.
Your child is issued with a blue homework folder, this will be sent home on a Friday and completed homework should be returned on a Monday. Please keep the homework letter in the blue folder and write a comment in the box on the back to let us know how your child found the homework.
Each week on the homework letter will have a brief overview of what will be covered the following week, as well as a synopsis of what was covered. This will help you support your child in their learning, as we value the home/school partnership.
If you want to let us know about anything you think is special or important at home, please complete a ‘Discovered at Home’ sheet, so we can add them to your child’s learning journey.
Our class has PE on a Thursday Morning with the Sports Coach. We will be learning to change into our PE pumps on this day.
Autumn Term 1
This half term is about settling the children into Nursery and making sure they are aware of all our school’s expectations as well as getting to know each other.
Our topics are ‘All about me’ and ‘Nursery Rhymes.’
Our ‘All about me’ topic helps us to get to know each other, provides us with lots of talking opportunities about our likes and dislikes and gets us thinking about our body, what our features are and what we can do with them.
In our ‘Nursery Rhymes’ topic, we will be looking at lots of Nursery Rhymes. Each week we will focus on a different Nursery Rhyme and complete lots of linked to these.
